Most now experimenting with the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power setting. #Us Robotics 5421 Win7 Driver. Download full version driversThe serious problem with the Intel 11.1.1.11 drivers is that once the wireless network is turned off by the driver failure, the only I've found to get it turned on again is to restart the computer. Once it's off, trying to access the network menu from the network Icon in the system tray takes minutes when it pops right up when the card is on. The adapter shows enabled, but it's quite clear that it has been powered down some how even though I'm on AC power and it's set to stay on. When the connection fails after a few hours, or minutes, the green light is off. My laptop (Dell Precision Workstation M90 with Intel 3945ABG) has a green light that shows the WiFi is on. Regardless of WEP or WPA encryption and network A or G and wireless router (netgear or buffalo), I have the same problem that the Internet connection gets turned off. I've tried Dell 11.1.0.86, Intel 11.1.0.100, 11.1.1.11 and other versions.Ĭurrently, I'm trying to get the Intel 11.1.1.11 drivers to work reliably. I've had my best luck so far with the Intel 10.6.0.46 drivers. As an indication, it's interesting to note how fast the Intel 11.1.1.11 drivers were released after the 11.1.0.100 drivers and they both have serious issues of dropping or disabling the wireless connections and they are no known issues or release notes that address these obvious issues. They also aren't doing anything pro-actively to fix these issues or at least they are keeping a very low profile and still failing to solve the issues. Those who disagree with this statement, please post your solutions! I certainly find it odd, with the bad behavior of these drivers that Intel, Microsoft, Dell and other hardware vendors have vague release notes that don't really mentions these common problems. I think many of the people you have not heard from on this thread are simlply enduring flaky wireless connections. I haven't seen anything in this thread yet that yields a stable WPA setup under Vista.
